ARE YOU ARE ABOUT TO USE OUR SITE? WELL IF YOU DO AND REGISTER YOU ARE GOING TO ADHERE TO OUR WAY OF DOING BUSINESS (the terms and conditions) AS WELL AS THIS, OUR PRIVACY POLICY, OKAY? BY USING AND REGISTERING WITH US IS YOUR WAY OF TELLING US AND EVERYONE THAT YOUR PERMITTING US TO DO SOME OF THE THINGS THAT FOLLOW AND THAT ARE OUTLINED BELOW.

The following Privacy Policy is our way of committing to you that we’ll do our best to be upfront and tell you what we will be doing while you visit or when register as a user on our site and what we’ll do with your information.  Your use of our Services will be governed by our Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, which is also fun to read.

DOCTZ, LLC. (“DOCTZ,” “our,” “we,” or “us”), who are the wizards behind DOCTZ.com (the “Site,” “System,” “Service,” or “It”). Will be terms we use in reference to ourselves or the service as it relates to this Privacy Policy.

 

Information we collect

Your First Name, Last Name, Birth Date, Email Address, your postal code possibly, gender, a password which is encrypted and we can’t see, at least 1 phone number, which insurance company and plan you use - unless you choose to pay yourself and generally minor medical data like the he previous providers you contacted or visited and of course the reason for your visit to our of our providers, oh yeah and the time and date of your requested appointment. Seriously, we don’t want your “medical history” but if you happen to freely input that information, we’re okay with that. That’s it.

Because we use Goggle Analytics - we have to tell you that their analytics system may automatically or accidentally collect track collect things like: IP addresses; domain servers; types of devices accessing us; web browsers used; and for sure who referred you and possibly other information that may be associated by the use of your browser with our site (collectively “Traffic Data”).  Google Analytics aren’t that good to know who you are so we don’t either unless you register.

No Cookies either, we’re on a diet.

 

How we use information we collect.

We pass it along to Providers, so they can contact you, about their services and communicate their availability. Also, we keep your general information so that your account, if used, remains active and that you can access all of our provider’s services and to make appointments.

 

COPPA

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act - restricts information from or by children under the age of 13. Doctz does not permit children under 13 to individual register, sorry, and we do our very best to not allow the collection of such information.  Really the only way We allow children is when they are associated with a parent or guardian through the account of the adult.  If we happen to collect information from persons in this age range we will do our best to 1) inform them they cannot use our system, 2) discontinue the account, 3) and make best attempts at contact the parent or legal guardian that we’ve erased, deleted and ceased information related to their account.

 

Transparency and choice

You can use our system or not, it’s your choice.  We don’t collect much information and even the payment information is specifically collected by PayPal (www.paypal.com) so you’ll have to look to their Privacy statement and legalese..

 

Information you share that we may share and you agree to allow to be shared.

  • When we are acquired or decide to sell we have to transfer the system to the new owners and well do our best to notify of that amazing day and what, if any, affect it has on your current privacy policy with us.
  • Personal Information and Contact Information with Providers, see above.
  • Some brief description of the reason for your visit or consultation.
  • We may integrated to your Provider’s EMR (Electronic Medical Records).
  • Why we’re so good is that we work with our providers and let them know how well their doing with our system and show them things like how many appointments we’re made in some time period.
  • If we use business Partners to deliver our service to you that may include things like where our servers are, data warehousing, customer services or anyone who may need access to our  system to help - we’ll make sure that everyone has strict polices of security and confidentiality as we do.
  • Subcontractors and Employees.  We do background assessments and maintain as high of quality We can regarding your security and privacy with everyone.

 

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”) and Health Care Providers.

Are responsible for your obligations under this rule of law.  We really don’t want to get in the middle of confidential communications and won’t, that’s not the way our service is designed. So all your employees, subcontractors, or people who do work on your behalf should be aware of this and deal with your patient’s confidentiality with the utmost respect, and use the HIPAA rules as intended.

Absolutely, please feel free to do so.  All these Policies still apply.

 

Information security

We us an SSL Certificate and lots of generally accepted industry practices to help mitigate security issues. For instance SSL is an encryption technology that helps protect information transmitted to our servers and also until it’s storers on our servers. We really try to lock down all aspects and keep private all your information but with recent events just this year you can imagine that we cannot guarantee that there won’t be any accidental disclosures.  If something like this happens of course we’ll let you know as soon as we’re able to assess the impact of an issue like that.

We do link to social sites like Facebook, Google+, Twitter and direct traffic to the provider’s web sites if they choose to.
